Rosemont, California

The Rosemont area, developed in the late 1950s, is an unincorporated region in Sacramento County, bordered by Folsom Blvd to the north, Bradshaw Road to the east, Jackson Highway to the south, and Watt Avenue to the west. This thriving community boasts over 100 businesses, 7 schools, multiple churches, 6 parks, and around 23,000 residents, with 26% being youth under 18. The area showcases a diverse demographic makeup with White residents comprising 49.2%, Hispanic or Latino residents at 19.5%, Black or African American residents at 15.3%, Asian residents at 14.1%, and smaller percentages of other ethnicities.

Despite its vibrancy, Rosemont grapples with challenges as approximately half of families with children fall near 150% of the federal poverty line, and most households earn less than $65,000 annually. Furthermore, about 32% of households with children qualify for CalFresh assistance. Recognizing these needs, Rosemont Community Boosters was established to address these issues by providing impactful solutions to enhance the well-being of the youth in the region. Through promoting hard work, dedication, and community engagement, the organization strives to empower future generations, foster resilience, and create a supportive environment where every student has the opportunity to excel.
